High concession value
Our priority is complex projects with a high concession value, such as the 407 ETR highway in Canada, or LBJ Express and North Tarrant Express ‘Managed Lanes’ in the US. These assets require a deep knowledge of user behavior, which can only be obtained through experience operating similar assets.
The knowledge Cintra has acquired applying the dynamic pricing format, for example, puts us in an excellent position to competitively develop these types of assets, offering solutions to transportation problems in highly congested cities.

Geographical focus
Our asset management strategy is long term. To achieve this, markets need to comply with a series of requirements, including legal and political stability and a high potential for economic growth. We also look for countries with developed financial models that allow financing in the local currency and financial structures like “Project Finance”.
It is essential that the projects are in a context of economic growth or potential. Our objective is OECD countries or those with similar political and economic outlooks. At Cintra we pay particular attention to emerging markets, frequently analyzing their evolution and suitability as a potential destination for our investments.
