AUTEMA and Ampans Foundation: Supporting a good cause together

This foundation performs the landscaping operations of this highway

True to the solidarity that characterizes it, Autema highway renewed its agreement with the Ampans Foundation to carry out the landscaping and cleaning work of the Sant Cugat-Terrassa and Terrassa-Manresa km points on March 7. The event was attended by Christian Torrell, Director of Autema highway, and Toni Espinal, Manager of Ampans. This signing shows this highway’s commitment to the social and professional integration of people with intellectual disabilities in Bages.

According to Torrell, Autema highway pays special attention to continuing to contract the services, suppliers and contractors in its environment”. He added, “over 90% of our workforce is comprised of residents of the districts of Bages and Vallès.

Toni Espinal thanked the trust that Autema highway has placed in Ampans since 2001. Continuously for 13 years and through the Special Work Center (CET), this foundation that currently serves more than a thousand people performs the landscaping operations of this highway.

The service performed by this team includes the maintenance of green areas, mowing edges and islets, tree pruning, phytosanitary treatment, cleaning roadsides and adjacent areas, creating new garden areas and maintenance and conservation of indoor plants of this concession’s facilities.

The Ampans Foundation has been working for the full inclusion of people with intellectual disabilities for nearly 50 years, with the aim of creating opportunities that promote full autonomy and quality of life.
